Our WhiptecBio guards not only help develop stronger roots, but they provide vital protection from browsing animals.
A natural additive is mixed with the moulded fibre that makes these tree protector fully biodegradable and compostable. Holes are added at the top to increase airflow and prevent mould and other unwanted residues forming, whilst increasing the amount of light from above. Average lifespan of these protectors is 2 - 4 growing seasons, depending on location.
How to set up tree guards
WhiptecBio guards come flat packed and are very easy to install:
- Simply press the sides to pop open.
- Push in the 3 small, pre-cut sections, on one corner, near to the top, where the ventilation/light holes are.
- Slide the plant through and secure to the ground by pushing the Bamboo Cane through the pre-cut sections and secure into the ground at least 250mm/10inches.
There is no need for the use of plastic ties!
